Tareproof

Read the audit trail and protect source evidence

Inspect packaging/report changes and understand private document access.

Before you start

Know the component or report you want to investigate. Use your own organization’s authorized access.

Access needed

Organization members can read audit history visible to their organization. Ordinary users cannot edit the audit log.

Steps

  1. Open Audit log and use the available table filter to focus on packaging components or reports.
  2. Inspect when the change happened, who made it and the recorded field differences.
  3. Cross-check the relevant SKU or report and its attached source documents.
  4. Open documents through Tareproof rather than publishing file links. Access uses short-lived private links.

Expected result

The audit trail records changes to packaging components and reports. It is not a log of every click, every table or every download.

Common problems

  • Source links can expire; reopen the document instead of forwarding an old URL.
  • Deleting source evidence removes the component’s document link even though the component remains.
  • Do not include confidential company files in public questions or send a private document link to an unauthorized recipient.
