Tareproof is software that helps organize packaging data and apply published state rules to it. It is not a law firm, accounting firm, producer responsibility organization (PRO) or government agency, and using it does not create an attorney-client or advisory relationship.

Estimates and screening

Exposure checks, obligation statuses, supplied weights and fee estimates depend on the rules we track and the information you enter. Rules change, and state agencies and PROs can interpret producer definitions, exemptions and covered materials differently from our screening. Fee estimates are not invoices.

Your responsibility

• Producers remain responsible for registration, reporting, payment and accuracy of filings.
• Verify thresholds, deadlines and rates with your PRO and the relevant state agency.
• Confirm borderline cases with your PRO or a qualified advisor.
• Tareproof does not submit filings on your behalf.
